Through a back-projection system onto specific shapes in plexiglass, it is possible to create realistic figures of virtual hostesses and talking characters; this innovative proposal can prove to be particularly interesting for its remarkable communicative possibilities, applicable in various fields. As an informational support, virtual figures offer a valid tool for interacting with the user and can be used both as hostesses in commercial activities and showrooms, and as guides within museums, archaeological, tourist or recreational sites, where they can provide indications to orient oneself in spaces and environments.
The system uses a projector installed behind the shape and creates animation through specially prepared video content. The shapes are available in various types, further customizable and adaptable to specific needs; it is possible, for example, to create fantasy characters for cartoons, testimonials, or games, allowing great adaptability to different situations and contexts.
Virtual figures allow for greater attention-grabbing of the audience or clientele compared to usual peripheral videos, proving to be particularly suitable for transmitting promotional and advertising messages, welcoming users (also through the use of different languages), illustrating commercial offers, launching products, providing information on specific services, telling stories.
