Thanks to 3D video mapping technology, PROIETTA is capable of transforming surfaces or sculptures into characters that can speak and sing, provide information, narrate local history events, and tell fairy tales and imaginative anecdotes. Immersive storytelling blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination, transporting viewers into a fantastical world where buildings and statues come to life and interact with people, providing awe, fun, and emotions to both young and old. The PROIETTA team is particularly attentive to creating scripts that appeal to multiple levels of interest, with educational messages alternating with passages dedicated to entertainment and good humor.
For the realization of talking facades and sculpures, the use of PROIETTA AF protective cases is suggested, which allow for the outdoor use of video projectors.
What is video mapping?
By tracing the elements of a facade, it is possible to map the architecture of a building, creating a three-dimensional model of the surface itself, which allows the video projection to interact with the shapes of the structure. With these techniques, it is possible to: transform the appearance of a building through lines, shapes, lights, and projected virtual shadows, with the ability to distort and deform its constituent elements, introduce decorations and ornaments that were originally nonexistent, create animated scenography, and play with the shapes and volumes of the buildings.
