Thanks to the extraordinary power of the IMPRESSIVE 1200-2500W projectors, capable of developing extremely high luminous intensity, it is possible to create large projections up to 2000 meters away.
The ideal context for these applications are large open spaces where a natural surface is visible from the surrounding areas; the selected surface can be illuminated with different colors, or an image, writing or logo can be projected onto it. Ideal subjects for long-distance illuminations and projections can be snowy ski slopes, rocky walls, hills, mountains, or any relief facing a town center.
In 2019, PROIETTA illuminated the Mont Blanc glacier during a stage of the Giro d’Italia. For this event, our company developed large optical lenses, aptly named Mont Blanc, thanks to which the high brightness of the IMPRESSIVE projectors was further amplified, allowing an increased extension of the beam range. The Mont Blanc lenses have found subsequent application in other long-distance lighting projects.
PROIETTA has created long-distance projections for events such as ski races (Red Bull PlayStreets, Bad Gastein, Austria, World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo), at Bardonecchia for the Winter Olympics, to advertise venues or enhance industrial sites (geothermal power plant in Larderello); collaborations with contemporary artists have also been frequent.
