FORT BARD
360° IMMERSIVE VIDEO MAPPING

For Christmas, the Fort of Bard in Valle d’Aosta has chosen to illuminate its inner courtyard with a 360° immersive video mapping. PROIETTA handled the technical installation and developed the artistic content of the project. The theme of the mountains and nature has been developed in a fantastical key with evocative landscapes and “sparkling” animals. An engaging show that entertained the visitors to the fortress, also known for its cultural offerings based on prestigious exhibitions and events. The video projectors were installed outdoors for approximately one month inside PROIETTA’s climate-controlled enclosures to protect them from cold temperatures and inclement weather.

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT IMMERSIVE 360° PROJECTIONS

360-degree immersive projections are a rapidly evolving technology that allows users to immerse themselves in a virtual world and explore the environment interactively.

This technology utilizes a combination of projections, surround sound, and virtual or augmented reality devices to create an immersive experience. With 360-degree projections, users can look in every direction and see a complete image of the virtual environment, rather than being limited to a frontal view.

360-degree immersive projections are utilized in various fields such as entertainment, education, training, advertising, and medicine. In entertainment, for instance, 360-degree immersive projections can be used to create immersive films and games. In education, this technology can be used to create interactive simulations for learning purposes. In medicine, 360-degree immersive projections can be used for surgical training and medical imaging analysis.

To create a 360-degree immersive experience, it is necessary to use a combination of projectors, screens, and surround sound. The projectors must be positioned to cover the entire environment. Moreover, the surround sound must be synchronized with the image to create an even more realistic immersive experience.

It is expected that this technology will be increasingly used to create immersive experiences in various fields, such as entertainment, education, training, advertising, and medicine.
